Fabric Flower Tutorial

EASY FABRIC FLOWER :)

Experimenting is so much fun for me. I worked on these lovely fabric flowers which are easy and fun to make :)

Okay, so you can follow the easy steps and make them for yourself too =)

Tutorial

The supplies that you need are simply napkins(I used the excess one's that comes with the pizza =D), glitter glue, thread and a needle...

 Step 1

Fold the napkins twice making up a square as shown above.

 Step 2

Start cutting out the napkins to get out circles, the circles need not to be prefect just a rough sketch.

This is how they will look like :)

 Step 3

Take each of the circle and fold it twice first in half and than in another half. They will form a cone like shape. Add a stitch at the lower edge of the cone shaped fabric now.

This is how it will look like.

Repeat this step with all the circles.I used 8 circles for making this flower.

Step 4

Now when the individual petals are done its time to sew two petals together. It will make a total of 4 joint cones.

After joining all the fabric cones they will look like this :)

 Step 5

So, in the last all the 4 fabric cones are joined together with they help of needle and thread. If you like you can add up some glitter glue at the end on top of flower.

I added the glue and this is how the flower turned out in the end =)

Isn't this easy and fun to make...Do let me know what do you think about it :)

Have a Creative Time

Mulberry Papers my way...

Mulberry Paper

I have been a fan of mulberry paper but never was able to find out a lot about how to use them in crafting. In fact all comes to my mind with the name mulberry paper is "Mulberry Flowers". No doubt they are super cute and pretty and yeah I did try to make my self some with this paper which was a huge... well...

So, I decided up to use them in some way as I have few of the papers with me from quite some time. And the idea as used above in the card was to stamp up the mulberry paper and use it as the backing paper for the card. It turned out to be not a bad idea and I love the way the blank paper turned into some useful stuff for me :)

Have you ever tried working with it? Well, if yes do share your crafting ideas and experience :)
